The Hoos is loose! After a Bears three-and-out, the Fighting Hawks struck again with a seven-plus minute drive that resulted in UND power-running backup quarterback Quincy Vaughn punching in his second touchdown of the game from inside the Bears' five.

A later Isaiah Smith yard touchdown run and an yard touchdown pass from Schuster to Maag made the score in the final minutes. The Bears scored a garbage-time touchdown for the game to end at Maag makin' them look silly today.

North Dakota rushed for total yards while throwing for Schuster completed two touchdowns to Maag who finished the game with five catches for yards. Hoosman rushed for yards with Smith going for Missouri State had passing yards from Shelley with three touchdowns. Two of his scores went to Naveon Mitchell and the other going to Kevon Latulas.

Wright rushed for 97 yards on the ground as the Bears finished with net rushing yards. Wyatt D. Wheeler is a reporter and columnist with the Springfield News-Leader.

AP When North Dakota State College of Science suffered a heartbreaking loss in early September - foiled at the goal line as time expired in a jolt to their national championship ambitions - it was a backup defensive lineman who stepped forward with a pep talk to lift the locker room. Forget it, year-old Ray Ruschel said, according to his junior college teammates.

Richard Sherman had thoughts after watching Russell Wilson repeat history. Entering Friday's game, St. Louis was when leading by two runs entering the ninth inning of a postseason contest. Friday, October 7, Florida , opens a six-game stretch against Southeastern Conference opponents. The Tigers , are in the same position as the Gators. Both teams are looking for their first conference win and momentum for the second half of the regular season.

Everybody's working hard to come up with solutions. They're trying to put the best product they can out there each week. Missouri put a scare into No.

Drinkwitz is in his third season at Missouri. A win over Missouri would not only snap the streak, but provide a dose of confidence heading into next week's Saturday night showdown against LSU.

First, they have work to do. So, we gotta step it up and win, win on out. And I honestly believe in us. Beyond that, this is an important game for the Gators to build off the momentum of last week's point win over Eastern Washington heading into six consecutive SEC games that will determine the fate of their season.

Florida's rushing attack is a three-headed monster with Montrell Johnson Jr. Oh, don't forget about quarterback Anthony Richardson 's ability to run. The unit stymied Georgia's running game for a large portion of last week's loss and provides a test for Florida's offensive line. The status of Missouri receiver Dominic Lovett drew attention this week. He provides an important target for Tigers quarterback Brady Cook. Lovett leads the team with 27 catches and SEC-leading yards receiving. Richardson's play has trended in the right direction the past two games and the Gators need him to continue in that direction to avoid a seventh consecutive conference defeat dating to last season.

The Bears gave up total yards with coming through the air and coming on the ground. Only Arkansas Week 3 and Oklahoma Week 1, fall have gone for over yards against a Ryan Beard-coached defense. We needed to get more opportunities for our offense to go score but we've got to get off the field.

The Hoos is loose! The Bears allowed or more offensive yards on defense on three different occasions in the season, the program's final year under Dave Steckel. Missouri State has had problems getting to the quarterback in recent weeks and it continued on Saturday with the Bears only sacking Tommy Schuster once. Throughout the afternoon, Schuster had plenty of time to throw, he extended plays with his legs and was able to pick up multiple third-and-longs to demoralize the defense.

The Hawks were on third-down conversions while Schuster was of through the air for yards and two touchdowns. Against the run, the Bears were no better with the Hawks having two players rush for over 75 yards. Tyler Hoosman rushed for with a whopping 9. The Hawks had rushing touchdowns on carries that went for 55 and 54 yards in the game. Maag makin' them look silly today. We're not getting to the quarterback enough and we didn't tackle like you need to tackle to win.

It's one of the worst things you can say about a football team, and we've been putting off calling it one for a few weeks now, but it's time to label the Bears as an undisciplined football team. Never mind the inability to stop the run or sack the quarterback, the Bears, too often, are called for silly penalties and hurt themselves. The Bears keep doing it, they know they're doing it and it hasn't stopped. The latest example came late in the second quarter when the Bears were trying to hold on to a halftime lead.

Believe it or not, the Bears actually led this game late in the second quarter. On fourth-and-1 from their own 37, the Fighting Hawks lined up to go for it in what appeared to be an obvious attempt to draw the Bears offsides. It worked, the Bears jumped and the Hawks kept their offense on the field. Right after, an yard completion was aided by a personal foul call on Tahj Chambers who attempted to participate in a play after his helmet was knocked off legally.

The extra 15 yards moved UND closer before the Hawks booted a yard field goal as time in the half expired. Those are free points that the Bears gave up. No, they didn't impact the outcome of the game but it's similar to what the team has shown throughout the first four weeks of the regular season.
